Our people were shocked Monday to hear of the sudden death of John Ronan of French Creek township, father of M. Ronan, the landlord of the Farmer's Home, which occurred that morning, at his home on the farm. While the old gentleman hasn't been very rugged of late, he was able to be about until ten minutes before his death. He was 77 years old, and the funeral takes place at Lycurgus today. We have not heard the cause of his death, but it was probably heart disease or something of that nature. The deceased leaves three sons and a daughter, all grown up, and an invalid wife. We know him as an honest, upright man, and were extremely sorry to learn of his death.
