Waukon- Violet A. Howes, 90, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004, in Northgate Care Center following a brief illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Waukon, by the Rev. Steve Campbell. Burial: St. John's Methodist Cemetery, Dorchester. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Martin Funeral Home, with a V.F.W. Auxiliary service at 5 p.m.

Survivors include three sons, George of Shawnee, Kan., Richard of Des Moines and Paul of Dorchester.
