Mrs. Lydia Stiefel
Funeral services for Mrs. Lydia Stiefel will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27 at the White Funeral chapel. The Rev. Wayne Carlson, pastor of the First Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Rowley cemetery.
Mrs. Stiefel died at 5:05 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25 at an Independence hospital.
She was born Nov. 14, 1878 in Allamakee county, the daughter of Frederick and Wilhelmina Hilmer.She married Henry Stiefel Feb. 10, 1904 at Reinbeck. She was a member of the First Methodist church, the W.S. C.S., the Missionary Society and a Sunday school teacher.
She is survived by one son, Don, Independence; one daughter, Mrs. James (Helen) Circus, Independence; five grandsons; 10 great-grand-sons; one sister, Martha Richmond, Portland, Ore.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two daughters, four brothers, one grandson and one great-grandson.
