Lansing- Services for Mrs. Julius Gruber, 92, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Evangelical United Brethren church. The Rev. M. G. Benner and the Rev. Donald Gruber, a grandson, will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Gruber died Saturday evening at Minneapolis in the home of her son Herbert where she had resided for a number of years. She had been bedfast for four years.
The former Bertha Meyer was born Oct. 7, 1863, in Germany. At the age of 16 she came with her mother to the United States. She was married Sept. 8, 1885, to Julius Gruber. They farmed at Thompson's Corner for a number of years, then lived at Lansing before moving to Minneapolis. Mr. Gruber died Oct. 17, 1936.
Surviving are her son, five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The body will arrive at Lansing Wednesday.
