Rossville- James Raymond Palmer, 43, died at his home in Jefferson township Monday afternoon following a brief illness. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron V. Palmer and was born at Elkader. He was married to Miss Della Invick of Decorah in 1914. The widow survives with one daughter, Alice Lorraine. Also living are his mother, Mrs. Emma Palmer, Waukon; four sisters and four brothers as follows; Mrs. J. E. Woodmansee, Mrs. Alden Mosier (possibly Mosler), Mrs. O. D. Mitchell, and Mrs. H.C. Heiser (possibly Helser), Waukon; Emmett LeRoy, Monona; Frederick, Rossville; Merton R., Clermont, and Charles, Waukon.
Funeral services will be held at the Rossville Presbyterian church Thursday afternoon. Rev. R. L. Van Nice will officiate and burial will be made in Oakland cemetery, Waukon.
