Waukon- Mrs. Bertha Vangen, 98, pioneer Allamakee County resident, died Friday morning at a hospital in Waukon.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Waukon. Burial will be in Glenwood Lutheran Cemetery, west of Waukon. Friends may call at the Bakke and Hanson Funeral Home.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Henry Kirkeby, and Mrs. Minnie Forde, both of Waukon; three sons, Peter and Adolph, both of Waukon, and Edgar, Cedar Rapids, Ia.; 20 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
