Waukon- Relatives here have received word of the death Tuesday of Mrs. Joseph Deeny, 85, of Reed Point, Mont., in a hospital there. Services were Thursday morning.

The former Ellen Laughlin was born March 21, 1869, on a farm northeast of here, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Laughlin. She was married Jan. 8, 1901, and later moved with her husband to Reed Point, where Mr. Deeny was employed by the Northern Pacific Railroad. He died in May 1947.

Survivors are two sons, three daughters and three grandchildren, all of Reed Point, and a sister, Mrs. Mike Connor of Waukon.
