Mrs. Laura Gruber, 60, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 1980, in Mercy Hospital, Cedar Rapids.

She was born April 12, 1919, to Clifford and Vietta (Sandry) Sadler, and married Erwin Gruber.

She worked at the Lansing Company for many years.

Survivors are one son, Donald Withee of Neponset, Ill.; three step-sons, Bill Gruber of Marion, Tom Gruber of Cedar Rapids, and John Gruber of La Crosse, Wis.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Mary Mefferd of Marion; two grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; one brother, Glen of Nice, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Clinton of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Beulah Sires of Waukon.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1977, and three brothers.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home, Lansing, with the Rev. John J. Hall officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, rural New Albin.

Friends may call at the funeral home today from 4 to 9 p.m.
