Alfred A. Knickerbocker, 62, Lansing, died Monday, Feb. 19, 1979, in St. Francis Hospital, La Crosse, Wis.

He was born Jan. 6, 1917, in Littleport to Clement and Mae (Sickles) Knickerbocker. On April 1, 1940, he married Alberta Olloff in Waukon.

He had been a self-employed logger in the Lansing area for the past 40 years.

Survivors are his wife; a son, Alfred A. of San Antonia, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. Keith (Dixie) Beaty of Prairie du Chien, Wis.; three grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Beulah Heuer and Mrs. Viola Mount, both of Waukon, and Mrs. Stanley (Velma) Walleser of De Soto, Wis.

Services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the United Methodist Church, Lansing, with the Rev. John J. Hall officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Lansing.

Friends may call at the Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home, Lansing, today after 3 p.m.
