Waukon- Services for Dayton Schlitter, 39, of Linton Township, Allamakee County, were Tuesday in the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Monona with the Rev. Alvin Ebert officiating. Burial was in Council Hill Cemetery near Watson.

Mr. Schlitter was killed Saturday while cutting logs with a chain saw on the Ben Kolsrud farm near Cherry Mound Church.

He was born on a farm in Linton Township, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schlitter. Survivors include his mother; four sisters, Mrs. Keith Chalders of Dubuque, Mrs. Valdean Palas of Farmersburg, Ia., Mrs. Adeline McFarland of Oelwein and Mrs. Leonard Plozel of Monona and four brothers, Howard of Waterloo, Alfred of Volney, Ia., Harvey of Farmersburg and Robert of Calmer.
