Waukon- Services for Louis T. Hermanson, 86, will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church here with the Rev. W. K. Benbow officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the church from noon until 1:30 p.m.
Mr. Hermanson died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 24, 1868, in Paint Creek Township of Allamakee County. In 1893 he came to Waukon. In 1903 he was appointed deputy county treasurer. He later served two terms as county treasurer. For several years he was a vice president of the People's State Bank.
In 1932 he was elected justice of the peace, a post he held until resigninig a few weeks ago.
He had not missed a season of fishing on the Mississippi River in nearly 70 years.
He married Haldis Kolsrud Nov. 24, 1892. She died in 1946.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. John Meierkord and Mrs. Alfred Dravis of Waukon and Mrs. Keith Baltzer of Shell Rock, Ia.; two brothers, Henry of Taylor Falls, Minn., and Ben of Canton, S.D., and three sisters, Mrs. Inger Kolsrud of Albany, Calif., Mrs. Leonard Tysland of St. Paul and one of Wayzeta, Minn.
