Edward E. Kamp

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 23, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville, for Edward E. Kamp, who passed away April 20 at La Crosse Lutheran Hospital. The Rev. Lenwood L. Monte was in charge of the rites. Burial was in Postville cemetery.

Edward E. Kamp, son of William Kamp and Bertha Martens Kamp, was born on June 22, 1901. He was baptized on October 4, 1901 and confirmed in the Lutheran faith on March 28, 1915. He passed away on April 20, 1968 at the Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

On September 15, 1921, Mr. Kamp was united in marriage with Lucy Eberling. He was a lifetime resident of this vicinity. To this union were born four children: Duane of Postville, Irene (Mrs. Rodney Buddenberg) of Des Moines, Donald of Issaquah, Washington and Mary (Mrs. Robert Reierson) of Postville.

Mr. Kamp is survived by his wife, four children, his mother, Mrs. Bertha Kamp of Postville, ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, one sister, Velma (Mrs. Clarence Nelson) and three brothers: Arthur, Emil and Lloyd.
