MISS ALBA R. EVENSON, 73
The death of Miss Alba R. Evenson, 73, occurred at at [sic] the Waukon Hospital at 5:15 Sunday morning where she had been a patient for a few weeks.

She was born in Taylor Twp. On August 18, 1885 and spent all her life in Allamakee County. She never married and was a dressmaker in Waukon for a number of years. She started a shop in Lansing at the age of fifteen.

She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Evenson and immediate survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Carl Kolsurd [sic], Waukon, and Mrs. John Brown of Chicago. Funeral services will be held Wednesday (today) at the Bakke and Hanson funeral home, to the Old E.P.C. Church with the Rev. Baalson officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
