Waukon- Funeral services for John Calvert, six, who died Jan. 4 at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Opfer of Waukon, were held Saturday, Jan. 7, at Martin's Funeral home, the Rev. Edmond Hennig officiating. Burial was in the Oakland cemetery.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Calvert Sr. of Dakar, Africa. Last fall he was striken with leukemia and was returned to Minneapolis for treatment. He was born in Minneapolis Aug. 29, 1945.

Besides his parents and grandparents, John is survived by a sister, Ellen.
