Waukon- Funeral services will be Friday at Waukon for John Byrnes, 68-year-old farmer, who died in a Rochester, Minn., hospital Wednesday.

He was a son of Allamakee county pioneers and a member of the County Production Marketing Association and had served on the county draft board during World War II.

Byrnes, widely known as an Angus cattle breeder, is survived by his widow and six children.
