Levi Edward Schultz, son of William and Frederika Schultz, was born February 4, 1886, at Postville, Iowa.

He died at the Postville Community Hospital January 14, 1961, at the age of 74 years, 11 months and 10 days.

Levi Schultz received his schooling in rural schools. On July 27, 1916, he was united in marriage to Helen Kluss at Postville.

Levi Schultz was baptized and Confirmed in the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Postville. In recent years he attended the Methodist Church in Luana, where he was a merchant for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, DeVonne; three brothers and three sisters.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Dean Schultz of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Reid Schultz of Oxnard, California; one brother, William Schultz of Postville; one sister, Mrs. Keith Gray, also of Postville; and three grandsons.

Funeral services were held at the Schutte Funeral Home Tuesday, January 17, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Walter T. Martin in charge of the rites. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.
