Lansing- Charles J. Ewing, 53, died Thursday morning at Lutheran Hospital, La Crosse, Wis., following a heart attack. He was a farmer and meatcutter, and operated Ewing Standard in Lansing.

Survivors are his wife, Frances; his mother, Ruby; three brothers, Kenneth of Waukon, Harry of Lansing and Keith of Corvallis, Ore.; and two sisters, Helen May of Waukon and Ruth Bloxham.

Services: Saturday, 2 p.m., Forest Mills Methodist Church. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Martin's, Waukon. Burial: Oakland Cemetery, with military rites.
