Lansing, Ia., Oct 20 - Funeral services for Mrs. Simon Sodd (sic) were held on Sunday at 2 o'clock from the family home. Rev. Kurt Schalk officiating with interment in the Sand Cave (sic) cemetery near New Albin.
The deceased whose maiden name was Phoebe Elizabeth Purrinton was born April 20, 1843 at McDonough, Shenago county, New York, where she grew to womanhood.
In 1867 she married Simon Rockwell Sodd (sic). In 1868 they came to Lansing and this locality had since been her home.
Mrs. Sodd (sic) is survived by six children, Mrs. Jerusha Palmer, Minneapolis; Mrs. Emma Thompson, Jamestown, N.D.; James Edward, John and Benjamin, Lansing; and George, Jamesown, N.D.
