Waukon, Ia. - Funeral services for Miss Ellen Laffan, 86, who died Tuesday at her home here after a period of ill health, will be held at St. Patrick's church Thursday morning. The Rev. Ernest J. McDonald, pastor, will celebrate the requiem mass. Burial will be in the Wexford Catholic cemetery.

Miss Laffan was born in Ireland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Laffan. She, with others of the family, came to the United States about 50 years ago, and for 32 years resided at Wexford, Allamakee county, where she and her sister, Miss Maria, kept house for their brother, the Rev. Thomas Laffan, pastor of the Immaculate Conception church there. They moved to Waukon in 1932, after Father Laffan's death. Besides her sister, she is survived by a brother, Patrick, Waukon.
