Waukon, Ia. - The funeral of John R. Kelly, 75, lifelong resident of Allamakee County, will be held Thursday morning at St. Pius Church at Cherry Mound with the pastor, the Rev. Albert Nees, celebrating the requiem mass. Burial will be in the family lot in the nearby cemetery. Mr. Kelly's death occurred Tuesday at the County Home where he had been a patient the past three years.

He was born in 1864 on a farm east of Waterville, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Kelly, early settlers of Paint Creek Township. [it appears that a sentence or more is missing here] ... several years after the death of his parents and later he made his home with the H.A. Hendrickson family near Waterville. His parents and three brothers preceded him in death.
