Mary, wife of Marion Plank, died August 12th at her home in Iowa.
The funeral was at the M.E. Church in Ion, Allamakee Co., Iowa.
She is survived by her husband and 5 children; she had formerly lived near Ridgeville, Schuyler County, Illinois.From: "Genealogical abstracts from the Astoria argus, Fulton County, Illinois 1886 - 1892"

Died - At her home, near Ion, Aug. 13th, 1886, Mary, wife of F.M. Plank; Aged 39 years, 8 months, and 28 Days.
Mrs. Plank was born in Schuyler County, Ill., where she united with the Baptist church in the 13th year of her age.
The funeral was largely attended at the Ion M.E. church the following day, Rev. J.J. Littler, officiating. Her remains were laid to rest in the Ion cemetery, where may she sleep in peace until the Glorious morning of the Resurrection when she will arise to receive her just reward.
She leaves a husband and five daughters who have the sympathy of the entire community in this their deepest bereavement.
