Services set for Mary Roth

Funeral services for Mrs. Herman (Mary Anna) Roth, 94, Waukon, will be Friday, Jan. 23 at 1:30 P.M. in Martin funeral home in Waukon. The Rev. Henry Heinbuch will officiate.

She died Tuesday, Jan. 29 at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon.

She was born April 22, 1881 in Germany and her parents were Carl and Mary Moller Osterholz. She married Herman Roth in Allamakee county Feb. 4, 1903. He preceded her in death in 1954.

Surviving is a daughter Mrs. William (Leona) Sherman of Waukon, four grandchildren , six great grandchildren, and two sisters Mrs. Ada Winke and Mrs. Minnie Sanderman, both of Waukon.

A son, Harold, sister Lydia and two brothers, John and Elmer, preceded her in death.

She was educated in the local schools and was a housewife. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ and a charter member of the Neighborhood club.

Pallbearers will be Elmer Kewley, Leslie Kerndt Jr., Ralph Osterholz, Freemond Bechtel and Neil and Urban Sanderman. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery.
