Mrs. George Goeke Buried Saturday

Funeral services are held Saturday afternoon with burial in Oakland.

Mrs. George Goeke passed away at their farm home in Ludlow township Wednesday evening, April 3rd, following a four year illness.

Mrs. Goeke, who was Anna Schindoll before her marriage, was born July 27, 1895, at Lester Prairie, Minnesota, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Shindoll. When a young girl she came to Allamakee County with her parents and they settled on a farm in Jefferson township. She was married to George Goeke and they made their home in Waukon for a number of years, later moving to a farm in Ludlow township. Five children were born to this union, all of whom survive.

She leaves to mourn her death her husband and five children, Ruth, Ronald, Lorna, Allen and Wesley, all at home. Her mother, Mrs. Charles Siekmeier also survives.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the Zion Reformed church. Ther Reverend F. E. Stucki officiated and interment was in Oakland cemetery.

The casket bearers were Paul Hansmeier, Ralph Sherman, Willis Moline, Lawrence Miller, Ward Cook and Everett Wallace.
