Funeral for Frank Irons, 69, will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Warner Chapel with Dr. Howard Palmer officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery, Hartley.
Mr. Irons died Tuesday at Spencer Municipal Hospital.
Robert Norris will sing "Ivory Palaces" and "Beyond the Sunset." Mrs. Lowell Hagedorn will be organist.
Pallbearers will be Carl Behrendsen, Leonard Johnson, Russell Uhl, Donald Sykes, Kenneth Johnson and Averill Bennett.
Mr. Irons was born May 8, 1895 at New Albin, Ia., the son of William and Ann Irons, and worked 48 years as a telegrapher for the Milwaukee Railroad. He had never missed a day due to illness in his entire railroad career.
He married the former Lillian Wicks Dec. 23, 1948, at Spencer. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star. Members of Masonic groups will attend the services in a group.
Mr. Irons is survived by his widow, Lillian; one son, William, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; one daughter, Mrs. Gregg (Blanche) Wise of Marquette, Mich.; four brothers, Roland of Houston, Minn., Stanley of Chicago; Nevin of Canton, S.D. and Earnest of New Albin; and three sisters, Mrs. Ernestine Brennan of Chicago; Mrs. Leo Hicks of San Francisco and Mrs. Bryan Coe of Chicago.
