Rites Tomorrow For J. Ludeking
Was Longtime Resident Of Allamakee County
Funeral services for John Ludeking 68, whose death occurred Sunday at his home in Ludlow township, will be held Wednesday at one o'clock at the home and two p.m. at Zalmona Presbyterian church. The Rev. Henry Johnson will conduct the service and burial will follow in the nearby cemetery.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Ludeking, early settlers in Ludlow, where he was born November 7, 180. His entire life was spent with farm work on the old homestead. For 13 years he had been afflicted with a heart ailment which caused his death.
On June 13, 1912, his marriage to Sarah Kruger, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kruger, took place at the bride's home. To this union were born three children, Mrs. Leo Brink (Ruth), St. Olaf, Iowa; Joan and Willis at home, who with their mother mourn the loss of an indulgent husband and father.
Also surviving are three brothers and two sisters, Paul, Dakota, Ill., Albert, Baxter, Iowa; Ed and Mrs. Gustave Kiesau, (Ida), Waukon, and Anna of Oelwein. There are two grandchildren.
