Died - At his residence north-west of Postville, Feb., 3d, 1875, John S. Hawkins, aged 59 years. We regret to be called upon to announce the death of so worthy a citizen as the deceased, though it is the debt all must pay. Mr. Hawkins was born in New Hampshire in 1815, settled in Iowa with his family in 1860, where he remained until his death, and highly respected by all who knew him. Died with disease of the heart, was sick but a short time. There are left to mourn his loss, a wife and four children.
