Waukon, Ia. - The funeral of James Devitt, 71, was held Tuesday at St. Mary's Church at Lycurgus with the Rev. P.F. Reynolds, pastor, celebrating the requiem mass. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Devitt dropped dead Saturday night while doing chores at his farm home. He was born July 10, 1871, on the same farm, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Devitt. He never married and his sole survivor is a sister, Mary, at home.
