Funeral services were held Monday morning at Immaculate Conception Church, Lansing, for Mr. Roy Love, who passed away Friday at the County Home following a brief illness.

The above named gentleman was born Nov. 17, 1877, near Viroqua, in Vernon county, Wisconsin, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Love. He was twice married and leaves to mourn his passing three sons, Michael in the service of his country and now stationed in England; David in service at the Army air base in Sioux Falls, S.D.; and Roy, whose whereabouts at the present time are unknown; three daughters, Sister M. Ethelreda and Sister M. Michael, of the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart, of Freeport and Joliet, Ill., respectively; and Mrs. Floyd Duchaine of Moline, Ill. Other survivors include two sisters, Mesdames Rose Ransom, Belvidere, Ill., and P.M. Quigley, Edgerton, Wis., besides a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Love was a quiet and unassuming man, friendly towards all, and a convert to the Catholic Church. He has made his home in New Albin and Lansing vicinity the past fifteen or twenty years.

The Mass of Requiem was offered by Father Henry Scharphoff and burial was in the New Albin Cemetery. Casket bearers were Bill Dennert, Otto Bettin, Nick Schach, Charles Rouster, and Dan and John Love.

Attending the funeral services from away were his daughters, the two Franciscan Sisters, his son David, and his sister, Mrs. Quigley.
