Postville Review, Friday, 16 March 1917. (Condensed.).

Nancy Jane Stiles was born in Whitesville, N.Y., December 30, 1840, and died at her home near Postville, Iowa, at about two o'clock a.m. on Sunday, March 11, 1917, aged seventy-two years, two months and eleven days.

She came to Postville in April 1855, and on June 27, 1860, was united in marriage with James Gordon. This union was blessed with four children- Arthur, Orrin, Edwin and Arzetta - of whom Orrin and Edwin survive, the other two having preceded their mother in death. Mr. Gordon passed away in 1900.

Two sisters and five brothers survive her, viz: A. L. Stiles, Rochester, N.Y.; N. W. Stiles, Boston, Mass.; E. D. Stiles, Waterloo, Iowa; A. E. Stiles and Mrs. Chas. Skelton, Los Angeles, Cal.; Warren Stiles and Mrs. James McEwen, Postville.

The funeral was held from the home Tuesday afternoon, March 13th, Rev. J. F. Childress, pastor of the Congregational church, officiating. Interment was made in Postville cemetery.
