Albertina Kamin was born October 28, 1858, in Pomerania, Germany. At the age of 13 years she came with her parents to the United States, locating at Chicago, Illinois, at which place she was united in marriage to Peter Miller on October 12, 1878.
The same year she and her husband moved to Postville, Iowa, at which place they resided for a period of 12 years, conducting a bakery and restaurant business.
After a brief residence at Nashua and Victor, Iowa, they moved to Grandview, Iowa, where 22 years of her life were spent, her husband being engaged in the general merchandise business.
In 1919 she moved to Wheaton, Ill., and after the death of her husband the following year to Decorah, Iowa, at which place she passed away on August 26, 1922, at the age of ?? years, 9 months and 28 days.
She leaves to mourn her departure two daughters, Lemma and May, also two sisters, Mrs. Fred Duval of Ludlow township and Mrs. Paul Topel of Postville, together with a host of friends.
Funeral services were held at her late residence, 409 River Street, in Decorah, on Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. A. Saathoff of Postville. Interment in Postville cemetery.
