Grace Blanchard was born in Postville, May 22, 1871, and died in Portland, Oregon, June 26, 1931.

At an early age she became a member of the Congregational church of this city and as she changed her place of residence she transferred her church membership, living a devout christian life and following the Golden Rule in all things.

She was married at Waukon on December 4, 1899, to John M. Ledlie of Eau Claire, Wis., and he preceded her in death six years ago.

She was a member of Multnamah Chapter No. 104, Order of the Eastern Star, and funeral services were under the auspices of this chapter. Interment was made in Mount Scott cemetery, Portland, Oregon, June 29, 1931.

She is survived by one brother, Scotty Blanchard of Waseca, Minn., and two sisters, Myrtle Henderson of Leola, Ill., and Pearl Leisner of Chicago.

Older residents of this city will remember Grace Blanchard as a fine and ladylike young woman and will learn of her passing with regret.
