Lois Henry Funeral Saturday
Funeral services for Miss Lois Henry, 28, of Waukon, were held Saturday afternoon from Martin Brothers funeral parlors to the Zion Reformed Chcurch. The pastor, the Rev. Edmond Henning, was in charge of the services both at the church and graveside in Oakland cemetery,
Casket bearers were James Whalen, Chester and Delmar Thiele, Robert McDonald, Roger Martin and Milton Schneider.
Miss Henry died suddenly at St. Francis Hospital, La Crosse, Wednesday, where she had undergone surgery and was preparing to come home in a couple of days when stricken with a blood clot.
She was born in Waukon on October 22, 1921, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs., Andrew Henry,. She graduated from the Waukon high school and attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison. The past few years she had been employed as bookkeeper at the Waukon Equity Store, and the last year held a similar position at Thiele’s Implement. In her work she was courteous and accurate and made many firends while so employed.
Besides her grief-stricken parents she is survived by two sisters, Miss Florence at home, and Mrs. Lloyd Thorton (Edith) of Torondo, Canada, who with her two children have been with home folks the past couple of weeks.
