Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Henderson were suddenly called away, Wednesday of last week, to attend the funeral of the wife of John Hartley, of French Creek township, who is a brother of Mrs. E. T. Henderson. Also the funeral of William Hartley, of Portland Prairie, Minn., an uncle of Mrs. Henderson and a brother of Mrs. James Row, of Postville. Both funerals were largely attended by many sympathizing friends and neighbors.

Note: Woodmansee burial book lists: Hartley, Sarah Gilchrist 1-5-1818 / 3-20-1889 Mrs. J. W., L 29, as buried in Mt. Hope cemetery. Using the day/date of the paper, "Wednesday of last week" would calculate to 3-20-1889.
