Postville Review, Fri., 25 Dec. 1914.

George W. Goetz, Postville's well known lumberman, passed suddenly away at about 4:30 Wednesday afternoon from heart failure. He had been at his office that afternoon and written some letters, though not feeling well for some weeks past. As he approached the office of Dr. Blessin on his way home he beckoned the doctor from his auto, the doctor being about to make a country drive. Mr. Goetz passed into the consultation room of the office and the doctor shut-down his motor and followed immediately, and on entering was shocked to find the dead body of Mr. Goetz lying on the floor.

About five o'clock the body was conveyed to the home.

Mr. Goetz was in the neighborhood of 60 years of age, a man of many fine traits, a good citizen, honorable and upright in all his acts and dealings, a devoted husband and father. Friends innumerable sorrow that he is no more and sympathize deeply with the faithful wife and daughter in this their hour of great grief.

The funeral will be held Saturday, but at what hour is not yet decided. Watch for bulletin.
