DIED- At the residence of Jos. H. Gray, Postville, Iowa, Thursday morning, Jan. 19th, 1899, Isaac Alonzo Cole.

Deceased was a native of New York state, where he was born August 20, 1822. It is about forty years since he came to Iowa, and settled on a farm northwest of Postville, where he resided until he moved into the city. May 7, 1843 he was united in marriage to Hannah Mallory, who died August, 1897. Mr. and Mrs. Cole had no children.

A short time before Mrs. Cole's death the venerable couple made their home for the remainder of time's pilgrimage with Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Gray, and after the departure of his companion the old man patiently awaited the summons that should call him home. He was a kindly dispositioned man and had many friends in the community.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at the Congregational church. The friends are requested to meet at the residence of Mr. Gray at 10 o'clock.
