Irma Aletha (Gilbertson) Bartholomew passed away on July 13, 1980 at the Mesa Lutheran Hospital in Mesa, Arizona.

She was born on February 11, 1908 to Edith and Curtis McGee in Humboldt, Iowa. She graduated from Humboldt High School and received her college education in Cedar Falls, at the former Iowa State Teachers College. She taught prior to her marriage and continued as a substitute teacher in Lansing for many years.

In December, 1933, she was united in married to Thomas S. Gilbertson of Lansing. They resided in Lansing until Tom’s retirement from the post office in 1965.

Winter months were spent in Arizona until August of 1976, when Arizona became their permanent residence. Tom preceded her in death in July of 1978.

She leaves to mourn her recent husband, Lloyd C. Bartholomew, and her brother, Theodore McGee, of Minneapolis, Minn.

Irma was a very dynamic leader and participated in many church activities and Bible Study Class.
