Lyle Yeoman’s Last Rites Held on Tuesday
Lyle M. Yeoman, 54, of Lansing, died on Saturday, November 22, at the La Crosse Lutheran Hospital from a heart attack.
He had been in failing health for the past few years.
He was born on October 26, 1926 to Mitchell and Clara (Fish) Yeoman. He was married to Elizabeth Loomis in Lansing on December 22, 1945. She survives as do two sons, Alan M. Yeoman of Naperville, Ill. and Lyle E. Yeoman of Rockford, Ill.; three daughters, Betty Jean Cavers and Mrs. Larry (Patricia) Holen, both of Rockford, Ill., and Mrs. Douglas (Eva) Moore of Byron, Ill. Other survivors include his mother, Clara Yeoman, of Lansing; five brothers, Elmer and Gene of Lansing, Roy of La Crosse, Wis., Donald of Sparta, Wis., and John of Milwaukee, Wis. He is survived by five grandchildren.
He was a veteran of World War II and a Mason.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 25, at 1:30 p.m. at Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home in Lansing. Rev. Tom Mattson officiated, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were George, Robert and Jerry Loomis, and Richard, Doug and Duane Yeoman. Lee Loomis was an honorary pallbearer.
Beck-Strong-Glynn Post 50 of the American Legion conducted graveside services.
