Funeral Held for Clarence Wiemerslage, 68
Clarence Wiemerslage, 68, of Eitzen, Minn., died on Wednesday, July 21, at the Waukon hospital.
He was born on September 21, 1913 in Allamakee county to Louis and Frieda (Welper) Wiemerslage. He married Ruby Dresselhaus on November 15, 1939.
They farmed in the Dorchester area and Wiemerslage was a salesman for Funk’s Seed Corn Co. for 34 years. He also repaired all types of clocks as a hobby.
He and his wife moved to Eitzen in 1963.
He is survived by his wife; one brother, Leland of Dorchester; two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Erickson of Marion and Norma Breeser of New Albin; and five nephews and six nieces.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 24, at 2 p.m. at St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Eitzen. Rev. Lloyd Fried officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.
The Potter-Haugen funeral home of Caledonia was in charge of arrangements.
