Services Held for Charles Beardmore

Charles G. Beardmore, 84, of New Albin died Thursday, June 14, 1979 at Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

His wife, the former Martha C. Thies, died in 1963.

He was born on March 12, 1895 on English Bench to William and Mary Elizabeth Sadler Beardmore. He was a farmer and a New Albin area lifetime resident. He was educated in the local schools and was a member of the Mt. Hope Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are a son, Curtis, of New Albin; a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Aloris) Curtis of Dubuque; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Leonard of Waukon and Joseph of New Albin.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at Mount Hope Presbyterian Church, rural New Albin.

The Rev. Keith Kensinger officiated at the services and burial was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bill Gordon, Elmer Staggemeyer, Joe Reburn, Elmer Thies, Carl Vonderohe and Armin Wuennecke.

Martin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
