Miss Catherine Jenkins, one of the stidents in Prof. Brekenridge's school attacked with diphtheria, died at her home in Ludlow township, Allamakee Co., the 6th Inst. She had partly recovered from the first sickness when her removal from Decorah was undertaken. A relapse followed resulting in death in about six days. She was in the 19th year of her age. This is a sad ending to what was a hopeful case, even of such a treacherous disease.- Decorah Republican.
