Mrs. Ray Bulman Laid to Rest at Zion Thursday
Funeral services were held at the Zion Brethren Church for Mrs. Cora Bulman on Thursday, Jan. 17, 1952. Rev. Dahlen of Churchs Ferry, assisted by Rev. Duncan, officiated at the services. Special music was furnished by Mrs. Elmer Smeltzer, Mrs. Vetrus Hillestad, Lester Burkhart and Forrest Smeltzer who sang "Trust and Obey," "Abide with Me" and "A City Foursquare." Mrs. Lloyd Maust was at the piano.

Pallbearers were her sons, Lee, Grant, Ray Jr. and Arlis and two sons-in-law, Salmer Westlind and Pearlie Catwright. Burial was made in the Zion Cemetery.

Cora Bell Bulman, daughter of John and Margaret Hahn, was born at Aurora, S. Dak., on November 9, 1890. With her parents, and sisters and brothers she moved to Colorado and then to Dorchester, Iowa.

On March 15, 1910, she was united in marriage to Oscar Ray Bulman. They lived in Iowa until the spring of 1914 when they came to their farm in North Dakota that has since been their home. She passed away in the Cando hospital on January 12, 1952, at the age of 61 years.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband Ray, four sons, Grant of Mylo, Lee at home, Ray Jr., Bismarck, and Arlis of Bisbee; three daughters, Mrs. Salmer Westlind (Thelma), Cando, Mrs. Pearlie Cartwright (Carmeletta), Bisbee, and Mrs. Gilbert Champagne (Dolores), Belcourt, and six grandchildren. One daughter and two grandchildren preceded her in death.

Also surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Fred Smith, La Crosse, Wis.; Mrs. Roy Sires, Hawkeye, Iowa; Mrs. Russell Lane, Waukon, Iowa; Mrs. Dan Sires, Dorchester, Iowa; two brothers, Earl Hahn, Church, Iowa, and Lee Hahn, Hemet, Calif.

A host of friends and neighbors will also miss her, for to know her was to love her. She was a member of the Hurricane Lake Ladies Aid and the Zion Homemakers Club. her family always came first and then her love was divided among her flowers, her trees and her shrubs.
