Last Monday evening the body of Ernest E. Nichols of St. James, Minn., was shipped here for burial. The body was buried in the Postville cemetery Tuesday afternoon.

Mr. Nichols left here 36 or 37 years ago and has been following the vocation of civil engineer. Last Saturday evening he returned from his work and went to his room and a half hour later was found dead. Hemorrhage of the lungs is given as the cause of his death. His father, mother, a sister and a brother are buried here.

At the time the family lived here they lived on the farm south of town now owned by the Hall Roberts estate. Mr. Nichols never married and was 56 years old. The remains were accompanied by his nephew, Ed Han??ett of Sibley, Iowa.
