Carver Gantenbein, 82, of New Albin died at La Crosse Wednesday evening.

He was born at Lansing May 22, 1873, and spent his entire life in the New Albin community.

Survivors include his wife Rose; five sons, Glenn of Omaha, Neb., Clifford and Gail of New Albin, Raymond of La Crosse and Roland of De Soto; three daughters, Mrs. Roy (Dorothy) Rogstad, La Crosse, Mrs. Fred (Maida) Lager, New Albin, and Mrs. Ina Fitschen, Dubuque; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Harvey, La Crosse, and Mrs. Lillian Skrief, Austin, Minn.; two brothers, John of La Crosse and David of Diamond Bluff, Wis.; 25 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at St. Joseph's Church at New Albin.
