DIED- Feb. 8th, 1879, Mrs. Rebecca Dobson, in the 71st year of her age.

Mrs. Dobson was born in Harrison Co., Virginia, from which place she emigrated with her husband, Samuel Dobson, to Indiana, where they resided until they emigrated to Iowa, twenty-six years ago last fall. Mrs. Dobson was a worthy member of the Methodist Episcopal church for over 50 years. She lived the life of the righteous and died their happy and triumphant death. She leaves five children and a large circle of friends to mourn their loss. But their loss is her gain; for to the christian, to live is Christ, but to die is gain. The funeral services took place from the Bethel church on Monday, the 10th Inst. Sermon by Rev. Hager, of Monona. Text, Proverbs, 16-31. "The hoary head is a crown of glory if it be found in the way of righteousness."
