Mr. Luman Shattuck, who is quite well known to most of our readers, died quite suddenly last week. He started Tuesday to visit his son George, living near Frankville, accompanied by one of his little girls,, and when near his destination was taken very sick dying next day.
We understand that a post mortem examination was held showing the cause of death to be a tumor.
Burial took place in the cemetery south of town. The deceased was about eighty years old, and leaves a widow and large family. He was quite wealthy, owning a valuable farm just west of town and also considerable town property.
