DIED-- John Dow, father of J. C. Dow, of this place, died last Friday night at ten o'clock. Mr. Dow was 77 years of age, had lived for many years with his son J. C. Dow. It is supposed that he died as much from the cause of old age as any thing, though the doctors say he was troubled with congestion of the lungs. The wife of the deceased died late last winter. Mr. and Mrs. Dow were old and highly esteemed residents of this place, and beloved by all, it was remarked to us after Mrs. Dow died that the old gentleman would go soon, indeed that proved true, he has joined his companion in that home to which he has gone, where the aged will become young again, and time is not measured. Mr. Dow leaves a son, relatives and friends in this community to mourn his loss, to all of whom we extend our warmest sympathy.
