Mary B. Swenson was born April 16, 1871, in Allamakee county, was baptized in the Norwegian Lutheran church at Clermont, and died Feb. 18, 1911, at the age of 39 years, 10 months and two days. She was married to George McClintock, Feb. 13, 1898, and they were blessed with one daughter, Ferrie, who with husband, father, mother, two brothers, two sisters and numerous other relatives are left to mourn her loss.
The family resided at Fort Atkinson for two years and the remainder of the time on the farm 1 1/2 miles north of Postville. Mrs. McClintock was a hard working person, ever showing an interest in others, and doing many deeds of kindness and love. She loved her home and sought always to make it a plesant and attractive place. She was of a quiet and congenial disposition. Her many friends will remember her for time to come.
The funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Postville, at two p.m. Monday, Feb. 20th, conducted by the pastor, Rev. C. C. Casper, a large number of friends being present.
The relatives present from a distance were -- Mr. and Mrs. F. W. McClintock, of Maxwell, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Kimberley and Mr. and Mrs. Chas. McClintock, of Minneapolis.
