Postville Review, Fri., 7 Jan. 1916.

Howard Hill Waters was born in Postville, Iowa, April 1, 1903, and died at the home of his parents in this city on Friday, December 31, 1915, aged 12 years and 8 months. Sickness in early life had impaired his health to some extent and when the scarlet fever and la grippe made a combined attack upon him he was unable to withstand it.

He was the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Waters, who did all that loving care could do to keep their boy, but God in his wisdom and love called Howard to live with him in the Celestial City. Howard was a good boy, possessed of many virtues and he made many friends in his short life. He is greatly missed by his youthful companions. The whole community feels a deep sympathy for his bereaved parents.

The floral offerings were profuse and beautiful.

Funeral services were held at the home of Howard's grandmother, Mrs. George Redhead, on New Year's Day, January 1, 1916, conducted by Rev. J. F. Childress, pastor of the Congregational church. Interment in Postville cemetery.
