Funeral Services For Mrs. Kathryn Bowen

Mrs. Kathryn Elizabeth Bowen, 84, of St. Paul, Minnesota, passed away Tuesday evening at the [Postville] home of her daughter, Mrs. Judson William Myers.

The funeral mass was said at St. Bridget's Church at 8 a.m. Friday and burial was at St. Mary's cemetery, Larchwood, Iowa.

Mrs. Kathryn (Smith) Bowen was born at Napierville, Illinois, in 1867. She was married to Frank Bowen of Larchwood in 1890. Mr. Bowen died in 1903.

Survivors include one brother, Thomas Smith of Omaha, Nebraska; one son, Frank of Billings, Montana; 4 daughters: Evelyn Bowen and Cecelia Bowen, both of St. Paul, Mrs. Lorena Wellisch of Duluth, Minnesota, and Theresa (Dr. Judson W.) Myers of Postville. Also 6 grandsons; 3 granddaughters and one great grandson.

A son Earl Bowen, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, died in 1950 and a daughter, Louella, died in infancy.
