Warren Gabriel "Mick" Pederson, age 79, of Des Moines, went to be with the Lord on June 21, 2003, at Mercy Medical Center. Services were held Wednesday, June 25 at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Burial was in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Warren was born in Waterville and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He retired from Neumann Brothers Construction after forty years of service and was a member of Unity Lutheran Church, VFW Post #738, American Legion Post #138, and a past member of Waterville Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. He will always be remembered by his willingness to help others. He is survived by his two daughters, Sue Burch and Cheryl (Dennis) Davis of Des Moines; a daughter-in-law, Kay Carey of Harker Heights, Texas; a sister, Bonnie (Herbert) Rissman of Waukon; ten grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lois; his infant daughter, Jacqulin Kay; and a son, Larry Carey. Memorials may be made to Unity Lutheran Church of Des Moines or Waterville Lutheran Church.
